                                   Artist Statement

My entire life I have been inspired by textures and tactile sensations. Now I incorporate them into my work. Art satisfies my overwhelming need to create. I'm currently exploring abstract forms cast in various metals.

                                       Artist Bio

Orianna is a Native American artist who currently resides in Tempe, Arizona. She is an enrolled citizen of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community which borders Scottsdale, Mesa and Fountain Hills.  The stories, basketry and culture of her Community have inspired her to pursue her contemporary vision through her art.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Arizona State University Fall 2016. Orianna continues to work on her sculptures and will pursue a graduate degree in a few years. After she completes a Masters of Fine Art Degree in sculpture, she intends to teach art full time at the University level.
